Blackbird Page 18
Her hands moved all over him, her teeth biting his shoulder for support.
There was nothing safe about their relationship. Their sex was rough and hard, demanding every part of each other. All the sexual tension, desire and need had come at once and they were totally consumed.
He looked into her eyes as he pushed back and forth. “I love you,” he said, kissing her once again with the passion she desired.
There was nothing to compare what was happening to them right now. She’d never experienced sex like this before and fuck did she like it.
He grabbed her ass and lifted her from him, her legs falling to the ground to stand. He turned her on the spot, her ass pressed against him as he pushed himself back inside her.
He ground her from behind, her breasts pushing up against the wall with each movement. His mouth kissed her neck, then he held her hips and went hard, sending them into their own release.
When his movement slowed, he stopped and leant against Claire, her knees going weak. They both crumbled to the floor, Nate holding her in his arms.
“My Blackbird,” he said kissing the tattoo on her wrist. “I’m glad you chose me.”
“It was always you, I was just too stupid to realize it,” she panted. She kissed him once more then curled up into his arms. He leaned against the back of his bed for support and they stayed in this position until the desire to have each other again overcame them.
To think she’d been missing out on this all along! Then again he was worth the wait. Every moment with Nate was worth it. Her professors had been right. Today was the beginning of a new chapter in her life, one where her and Nate could finally be together and she could have the life she always dreamed of having, even if she’d never realize her dream involved a tall handsome guy covered in tattoo’s it did now. It would always.
EPILOGUE
One Year Later…
Claire growled and threw her backpack on the ground, slamming the bathroom door behind her.
She heard Nate open the door behind her and close it. She didn’t even bother to look at him. Instead she turned the taps on in the shower and started taking her dress off.
“Well, well, if I had known getting you pissed would be all it took to get you to take your clothes off, I would have done it earlier,” he smirked.
She stopped taking her bra off and turned to him. “You’re so annoying!” she yelled.
He grinned at her and crossed his arms across his chest, leaning his back against the doorframe.
“Please don’t stop on my account,” he said holding back a laugh.
They’d spent the past year working and travelling around the world. They’d started with Canada, and then travelled to North America, South America, and Europe.
They worked their way through the countries. They’d done everything from teaching English, to waitressing and washing dishes. They used their free time to sightsee and catch up with friends along the way.
Liam and Layla had hit it off. They had started dating not long after Claire and Nate announced their relationship and they’d even managed to all catch up with each other in London.
Travelling was everything Claire ever imagined and more.
“Why do you do that, Nate? You clearly knew where the Acropolis was, you can see it from the bloody street! Yet you kept arguing with me we were going the wrong way!” Claire yelled crossing her arms in front of her.
Instead of apologizing, Nate smiled back at her like she was the most entertaining thing he’d ever seen.
She growled again. “You are so frustrating!”
“I could say the same about you,” he said, unfolding his arms and stepping towards her. “You’re so cute when you’re angry.”
He stepped another step until he was touching her. Then he reached up and brushed her hair with his fingers. “Have I told you lately how much I love you?”
She looked up at him and sighed. “Yes,” she replied quietly. “You tell me all the time, you pretentious ass.”
He pressed his finger to her mouth. “We might have to do something about that mouth of yours.”
He took his finger away and kissed her lips. He always had a way of changing the subject. Somehow she couldn’t resist him. He could be a dick sometimes, frustrate her, annoy her, but she still loved him no matter what.
Love wasn’t black and white and she’d grown to understand that. Love was about accepting another person for who he was and loving him unconditionally for it.
Nate made her a better person, and she made Nate believe in himself. Together they were free. Free to be everything they ever wanted to be. No matter what happened in their lives and where each day would take them, their love would remain strong.
Claire slowly pulled her lips from his. “I love you, Nate Williams.”
“And I love you,” he replied picking her up in his arms and stepping into the shower fully clothed.
She squealed in delight as the water fell over them. She dropped her legs to the ground and pushed him up against the tiles. “Now, what were you saying about my mouth?” she whispered seductively, biting his bottom lip.
He grabbed her hips and hit them against his. “You’ll be the end of me, Claire.”
She pushed herself up on her tiptoes and whispered into his ear the words that made him feel weak at his knees, the words she loved to say and he loved to hear.
Love was definitely not black and white.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
I have always been a hopeless romantic. At the early age of fifteen I met my now husband Darby. Together with our daughter Evelyn and dog Rusty, we live in the beautiful state of Queensland, Australia.
When I’m not spending time with my family, friends, and of course writing, I’m working as a child care educator.
I believe in living life to the fullest. I created a bucket list years ago with the idea I wanted to achieve it all in my lifetime. I find myself now with over half of the list completed and I’m regularly adding and checking off my goals, dreams, and even fears.
I wrote my first novel titled Forever Yours last year, then shortly followed by this novel.
I still have a lot of stories I would love to write about so stay tuned!
